The Library Build.
A child with access to books has access to every world ever imagined. Our flagship library in rural Abuja gives hundreds of children a safe place to read, learn and dream.
From an empty room to a reading room.
The library began as a single rundown room filled with rubble, worn-out tables, and broken chairs. The idea was born after months of our team volunteering as teachers at the school, where we saw children with no dedicated space to read, learn, or simply enjoy books beyond the classroom. Together with volunteers, local carpenters, and parents, we transformed the room into a welcoming library—a space built by the community, for the community.
Today, the library hosts daily reading sessions, teacher and staff meetings, provides employment for community library support staff, and offers every child a welcoming escape into the wonderful world of words.
