Who the scholarship is for.
The Scholarship Fund is open to children in YACT partner communities — typically rural villages across Abuja and the surrounding states — whose families cannot meet the full cost of schooling.
We prioritise first-generation learners, girls at risk of being withdrawn from school, and children whose primary caregivers report financial hardship.

How scholars are chosen.
- 01
Community nomination
Community members, head teachers and parents nominate candidates from within their own community.
- 02
Household visit
A YACT field volunteer visits each applicant's home and school, reviews their application, and assesses them using our academic and financial criteria
- 03
Panel review & enrolment
Our selection panel reviews every file. Successful scholars are enrolled and matched with a mentor within the term.

Meet Our Scholars →One scholarship changes everything.
A single scholarship — funded for a single year — can keep a child in school long enough to change the whole arc of their life.
